The most interesting game of round 8 in the LNB was a home defeat of 8th ranked San Alfonso (1-7) to seventh ranked Ciudad N. (2-6) 69-63. Ciudad N. forced 20 San Alfonso turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian Nelson Peralta (195-1992) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds and Lucas Bogado who added 15 points during the contest. Juan Martin responded with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ciudad N. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Campo Alto. San Alfonso lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. The winners were led by Argentinian Hans Feder who scored that evening 27 points and 9 assists and Norbertas Giga supported him with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Brazilian guard Osmar Ventura (190-2004) did not help to save the game for Amambay. Amambay's coach Ramon Baez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Colonias have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with San Jose. Amambay lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Olimpia K.'s coach Javier Martinez felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guillermo Araujo produced 20 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the hosts. Olimpia K. have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-1 record. Campo Alto lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Ciudad N..
