Real Club celebrated the Liga Nacional title. They defeated Regatas by three points to win the championship series 3-1. Darnell Evans (192-G-84, college: Queens, NC) nailed 36 points to pace Real Club in the decisive game of the series. Regatas surged ahead early in the encounter. They built a 27:12 advantage after ten minutes of action. Real Club cut the deficit in the second term. The hosts got within 4 points at the interval 37:41. Regatas posted 23 points in the third term and secured a 5-point lead before the fourth frame. But Real Club held the visitors to just 12 points in the fourth term and forced overtime.
