Carolina made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Scottie James Jr (202-1996, college: Liberty, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). International point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU) chipped in 26 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gigantes have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-12 record having five points less than leader Guaynabo. Caguas at the other side keep the second place with ten games lost. Carolina are looking forward to face league's second-placed Mayaguez at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caguas will play against Bayamon and are hoping to win this game.

It was a good game for Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Alfonso Plummer contributed with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Capitanes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. DR Congolese point guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) replied with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Quebradillas. Arecibo maintains first position with 19-5 record. Quebradillas at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 14 games lost. Arecibo will play against Ponce (#5) in Juana Diaz in the next round. Quebradillas will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mayaguez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Worth to mention a great performance of Jordan Howard who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 9 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was Jared Sullinger with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Manati moved-up to fourth place. Loser Cangrejeros dropped to the fifth position with 12 games lost. Manati will meet higher ranked Aguada (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. In the last two games of round 24 San German was crushed by Ponce in Juana Diaz 116-81. Aguada smashed Ponce at home 100-75.
