BSN Finals, Game 5: Arecibo - Mayaguez 61-72 (1-4 win)

Indios de Mayaguez won the 2012 BSN title last night. They outplayed Capitanes de Arecibo in Game Five of the Finals winning the series with almost perfect 4-1. Arecibo is dethroned after two years.
The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-61. Indios dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Capitanes' 26 and they also made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent). Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-G-86, college: Providence) top-scored in victory with 13 points, while American center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) had 12 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import Alexander Franklin (196-88, college: Siena) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Indios' coach Eddie Casiano used entire bench in this game. Larry Ayuso (190-77, college: USC, agency: Global Sports Plaza) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: G.Washington) added 13 points in the effort for Capitanes.
Mayaguez was third ranked team of the regular season with 6-4 record. They eliminated Bayamon with 4-2 in the Semis. Alexander Franklin is named MVP of the BSN Finals.
