Piratas de Quebradillas are crowned BSN champions. They knocked down Leones de Ponce in the sixth game of the championship series to claim the trophy. Kevin Lisch (188-G-86, agency: Warren Sports International, college: St.Louis) posted 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners.
Ponce eked out a 23:22 lead after ten minutes. The Leones extended their lead in the second frame. They arrived at the interval up by 4 points 45:41. But the Piratas turned things around in the third term. Quebradillas exploded with 32 points in the quarter and surged ahead for an 18-point lead at the final break. Ponce stayed aggressive throughout the fourth frame but the deficit proved too deep to overcome. David Huertas (195-G/F-87, college: Mississippi) finished with 16 points, while Lorenzo Mata (205-C-86) added 15 points and 9 boards for the winners. Carlos Emory (196-F) responded with 17 points for Ponce. Mike Harris (198-F-83, college: Rice) netted 16 points and grabbed 13 boards for the Leones.

Brujos win Cano Jirao Cup - Mar 18, 2013

Brujos de Guayama won the Cano Jirao Cup in San German by winning over the defending BSN champions Indios de Mayaguez 88-82.

Angel Luis Figueroa (196-G/F-81, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Dowling) had 19 points, Josh Harrellson 15, Juan Coronado 14 and Joel Jones 12 for the winners.

Guayama controlled the game from the start winning the first quarter 20-11 and at halftime they enjoyed a 46-26 lead.

Mayaguez made a comeback in the final quarter by scoring 40 points but time was not on their side.

Danilo Pinnock netted 21 points and Ruben Cotto 16 for Indios. They expect Alex Franklin and center Kentrel Gransberry for this week.

In the third place game Atleticos defeated Leones 72-65.
