Arecibo has been crowned BSN champions. They defeated Bayamon in Game 6 of the title series to win it 4-2. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Capitanes made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. He was named the Finals MVP. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. Capitanes' coach Rafael Cruz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international center Peter Ramos (222-85) with 23 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Capitanes and four Vaqueros players scored in double figures.
