Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, college: Hofstra) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. He was named the MVP after the game. Leones' coach Nelson Colon used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was international forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Guillermo Diaz (188-85, college: Miami, FL) scored 16 points and 7 assists. Leones de Ponce earned the Manuel Zeno Gandia Cup title. They beat Atenienses de Manati 75:66 in the Final of the inaugural edition of the tournament. Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-G/F-86, college: Virginia Tech) scored 30 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the winners. Ponce earned a 20:15 lead after the opening quarter.
