Arecibo celebrated BSN title. They stormed past Bayamon in Game 6 of the championship series to conquer the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by Capitanes. Vaqueros managed to win second period 32-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capitanes dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Vaqueros' 20 and made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Capitanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) scored 30 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) chipped in 32 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) during the contest. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Benito Santiago (198-89, college: Cumberlands) scored 18 points.
