Guaiqueries de Margarita (LPB) landed 28-year old American swingman Terrence Williams (198-100kg-87, college: Louisville). He played recently at Vaqueros de Bayamon in Puerto Rican BSN league. In two games he averaged impressive 16.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5apg this season. Williams ended this season at Maccabi Ashdod (Winner League) in Israel. But the most of that year he spent at Fuerza Regia (LNBP) in Mexican league. In four BSN games he had 15.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.3apg and 1.0spg.
In 2009 Williams was drafted by New Jersey Nets (NBA) in first round (11th overall). He attended University of Louisville and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Williams won D-League West Division championship title in 2014. He received also USBasket.com All-D-League 3rd Team award in 2014.
Williams is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in China, Dominican Rep., Philippines (Meralco Bolts), Turkey, NBA (Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings), Dominican Republic (Soles de Santo Domingo and Reales de La Vega) and D-League (Springfield A. and Los Angeles D-Fenders).
Williams' game is described as: He is a defensive stopper who is able to guard multiple positions on the floor which should help him at the next level ... His vision and ability to pass are standout for a wing player.
