Cousins number one in Puerto Rico BSN for week 30

American DeMarcus Cousins (211-C/F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last week for Guaynabo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 30.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Arecibo (#3, 14-12) 89-85. Guaynabo maintains the 4th position in their group in Puerto Rican BSN. Guaynabo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-12 record. In the team's last game Cousins had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guaynabo, being already a very valuable addition to the team. DeMarcus Cousins averages this season 17.6ppg, 10.3rpg and 4.1apg.

The second best player in last week's games was young American Brandon Knight (190-G-1991) of league's leader Quebradillas. Knight had a very good evening with 35 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Quebradillas to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Santurce (#3, 14-12) 118-92. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Quebradillas consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 18-6 record. Knight is one of the most experienced players at Quebradillas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.5ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 4.6rpg and 5.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last week was another Quebradillas' star - American center Hassan Whiteside (213-C-1989). Whiteside scored 25 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Quebradillas, helping his team with a 118-92 easy win against #3 ranked Santurce. Quebradillas confirms their top position in Group B. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 6 lost games. Whiteside has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.7rpg (#1 in league). He also has 2.7bpg and FGP: 54.6%.
