The 32-year old had the game-high 37 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Guaynabo in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Mayaguez (#4, 11-17) 117-115. Guaynabo maintains the 4th position in their group in Puerto Rican BSN. Guaynabo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-12 record. In the team's last game Cousins had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guaynabo, being already a very valuable addition to the team. DeMarcus Cousins averages this season 19.8ppg and 9.9rpg. The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American point guard David Stockton (180-PG-1991) of second-ranked Santurce. Stockton impressed basketball fans with 39 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Santurce was edged by the lower-ranked Humacao (#5, 11-16) 120-117. Despite lost game Santurce moved up to second position in Group B. His team's 15-12 record is not bad at all. Stockton is one of the most experienced players at Santurce and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#5). He also recorded 6.9 assists per game. The third best performed player last week was American forward Christopher Ortiz (203-PF-1993) of Manati (#5). Ortiz got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last week. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Ortiz's great performance Manati lost 87-96 to slightly higher-ranked Arecibo (#3, 15-12). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Manati not to end season at such low position in Group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ortiz could try to bring Manati's a little bit higher in the standings. Ortiz has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (9th best). He also has FGP: 50.2% and 3PT: 44.9%. Christopher Ortiz has also Puerto Rican passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player. Other top performing players last week: 4.
