Soriano number one in Puerto Rico BSN for week 7 (by Hoops Agents)

Dominican Rep. Center Joel Soriano (211-C-2000) put on an amazing game in the last week for Santeros de Aguada, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 7.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 22 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Ponce (#4, 3-5) 74-77. Santeros maintains the 6th position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just one victory. Soriano just recently signed at Santeros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Joel Soriano averages this season 19.0ppg and 15.8rpg.

The second best player in last week's games was young New Zealand Tyrell Harrison (214-C-1999) of Indios de Mayaguez. Harrison had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Indios to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Quebradillas (#2, 6-3) 86-63. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Mayaguez consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 6-4 record is not bad at all. Harrison is one of the most experienced players at Mayaguez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last week was Nigerian guard Olumiye Oni (198-G-1997) of Criollos de Caguas (#5). Oni showcased his all-around game by recording 11 points, 8 rebounds and 18 assists (!!!) in the last week. He was a key player of Criollos, leading his team to a 96-81 easy win against the higher-ranked Bayamon (#1, 8-2). The chances of Caguas ranking at the top of Group B, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Oni could help Caguas to bring them higher in the standings. Oni has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.1rpg (7th best) and assists with 6.8apg (best passer). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 62.5%.

7. Ismael Romero (205-C-1991) of Guaynabo - 20 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Chris Duarte (197-G/F-1997) of Bayamon - 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Sam Mennenga (206-F-2001) of San German - 24 points and 9 rebounds
10. Derrick Williams (203-F-1991) of Guaynabo - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
