Round 19 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Indios (12-11). They were edged by second ranked Capitanes (13-10) 86-84 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Arecibo made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Brandon Knight (190-1991, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 assists. Serbian-American power forward Nick Rakocevic (211-1997, college: USC, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 16 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side American Milton Doyle (193-1993, college: Loyola, IL) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Arecibo keeps a position of league leader. Mayaguez at the other side dropped to the third place with 11 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Arecibo. Mayaguez will play next round against Manati trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Arecibo will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Quebradillas at home.

However their fans expected much easier game. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican swingman Chris Duarte (197-1997, college: Oregon) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!). Danilo Gallinari accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Vaqueros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Bryce Cotton (182-1992, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 28 points and 6 assists for Guaynabo in the defeat. Vaqueros have a solid series of three victories in a row. Bayamon maintains first place with 18-5 record. Guaynabo lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. Bayamon will play against Carolina (#4) on the road in the next round. Guaynabo will have a break next round.
Third ranked Criollos (11-10) beat at home 5th ranked Mets (8-14) by 12 points 111-99, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Louis King fired 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bryce Cotton produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists for lost side. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 19: Aguada lost to Quebradillas on the opponent's court 93-99. Carolina unfortunately lost to Manati in a home game 71-82. San German recorded a loss to Ponce on the road 68-72.
