Trice II number one in Puerto Rico BSN for week 22 (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Travis Trice II (183-PG-1993) put on an amazing game in the last week for Criollos de Caguas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 22.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, six rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Santurce (#2, 15-9) 104-100. Criollos maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Caguas will need more victories to improve their 14-11 record. In the team's last game Trice II had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Criollos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Travis Trice II averages this season 27.6ppg and 8.2apg.

The second best player in last week's games was young Cuban center Ismael Romero (205-C-1991) of Mets de Guaynabo. Romero had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Mets to edge slightly higher-ranked Carolina (#4, 12-11) 97-91. Guaynabo's 5th position in Group B has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-16 record. Romero is one of the most experienced players at Guaynabo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last week was New Zealand forward Samuel Waardenburg (208-F-1999) of league's second-best Indios de Mayaguez. Waardenburg got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last week. He went also for ten rebounds . He was a key player of Indios, leading his team to a 94-84 win against the lower-ranked Guaynabo (#5, 9-16). Mayaguez needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group A. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 11 lost games. Waardenburg has a very solid season. In 26 games in Puerto Rico he scored 17.1ppg. He also has 7.2rpg, a FGP of 64.0% and 3PT: 41.7%.

9. Bryn Forbes (190-G-1993) of Aguada - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Phillip Wheeler (204-F-2002) of Quebradillas - 22 points and 8 rebounds
