Leones players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Swingman Alejandro Vasquez (193-2000, college: UAB) nailed 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Matt Mooney (189-1997, college: Texas Tech) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Leones players scored in double figures. American-Italian forward Grant Basile (206-2000, college: Virginia Tech) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and international point guard Gian Clavell (193-1993, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 22 points and 7 assists respectively for Piratas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: La Tech, agency: SLN) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
