BAXI Manresa (Liga Endesa) landed 27-year old Puerto Rican international 185cm shooting guard Alfonso Plummer (college: Illinois) for new season. Plummer played this summer at Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rican BSN league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 7 BSN games just recently he averaged impressive 16.9ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.9apg. The last season he played at ratiopharm Ulm in German where in only one game he had very remarkable stats: 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Plummer helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. He also played 17 games in Eurocup where he recorded 11.4ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.8apg. Plummer has been regularly called to Puerto Rican Senior National Team since 2022.
And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Plummer has played previously professionally in France (Paris Basket) and NBA G League (Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico).
Among many awards he won NJCAA D1 District I championship title in 2019. He received Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Most Improved Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Domestic Player of the Year award in 2024.
Plummer graduated from University of Illinois in 2022 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: University of Utah, Arizona Western College.
