Montrezl Harrell gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSN (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Montrezl Harrell (203-C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last week for league's leader Atleticos de San German and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 22.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Arecibo (#2, 14-10) 103-99. It allowed Atleticos to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. San German has a very solid 19-9 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Harrell had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Atleticos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harrell is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.9rpg) and averages solid 65.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young Dominican Rep. shooting guard Rigoberto Mendoza (191-SG-1992) of Santeros de Aguada. Mendoza impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Santeros to edge the lower-ranked Manati (#6, 10-17) by 1 point 106-105. Aguada's 3rd position in Group B has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-13 record. Mendoza is one of the most experienced players at Aguada and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last week was another San German's star - Andre Curbelo (183-G-2001). Curbelo showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last week. He was another key player of Atleticos de San German, helping his team with a 103-99 win against #2 ranked Arecibo in a game of the week. Atleticos confirms their top position in Group A. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 9 lost games. Curbelo has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.7apg (5th best).

9. Kristian Doolittle (201-F-1997) of Manati - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Tyquan Rolon (192-G/F-1995) of Manati - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
