Kings and Jets Roll Into the KFC League Semifinals in Style- June 10, 2026The Saint Lucia KFC National Basketball League wrapped up its regular season with statement wins from the two heavyweights, setting up a semifinal lineup of Courts Jets against Bonne Terre Blazers and Morne Fortune Gladiators against the Soufriere Kings.
Courts Jets closed out their slate with a demolition of FiredUp Fitness, winning 112-49 behind an extraordinary night from Ryan Philogene. The league's marquee guard piled up a monster triple-double of 45 points, 18 rebounds and 11 steals, earning KFC Player of the Game honors and underlining why the Jets will be a threat in the postseason. The defending champions, meanwhile, looked every bit the team to beat. Soufriere Kings flexed their muscle in a wire-to-wire 92-49 rout of the Bonne Terre Blazers avenging their opening-night loss to the same side with Sidney Didier collecting 21 points, seven rebounds and four steals to take Player of the Game. It capped a strong finish for the Kings, who had also handled East Coast Academy 70-54 in midweek, powered by Clayton William's 20 points and 12 rebounds. Now the two-time champions, chasing a three-peat, turn their attention to the Gladiators in the semifinals, while the Jets and Blazers meet in the other last-four clash with a place in the final at stake. |
