Argentina and Brazil reach title game in Buenos Aires

Argentina cruised past Colombia to advance into the Final. The hosts dominated from start to finish in Buenos Aires. Argentina recorded a 35-25 halftime lead. They followed with a 17-7 run in the third term to clear off for good. Angelina Giacone (181-F-2005) delivered 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Alma Bourgarel (160-G-2006) added 16 points in the victory. Maria Salguedo (168-PG-2005) replied with 11 points for Colombia.

Brazil - Uruguay 59-47
Brazil knocked down Uruguay to advance into the title game in Buenos Aires. Brazil used a 14-4 run in the second period to open a 10-point lead. They held Uruguay to just 11 points in the third term to open a 14-point lead. Uruguay narrowed the gap in the fourth frame but could not avoid the loss. Stephany Goncalves (180-C-2004) finished with 14 points, while Taissa Nascimento (178-SF-2005) added 13 points and 13 rebounds for Brazil. Paula Fernandez (178-PF-2005) answered with 12 points for Uruguay.
