18 players selected for Venezuelan U17 women's team

A total of 18 players were called to join the Venezuelan national team practices for the South American U17 Championship for Women to be played on June 23-27 in Santiago, Chile.

The players represent all regions of the country and they are: Edicta Blanco (Cojedes), Karen Hernndez (Falcn), Angely Frontado, Waleska Prez (Aragua), Mariangel Carrero (Mrida), Ayalexis Ylarraza (Gurico), Juferlyn Alfonzo (Lara), Yanilca Montoya (Tchira), Mayerling Landaeta, Kimberly Monzn (Miranda), Odalis Pacheco, Hilda Ortega (Carabobo), Wanda Prez , Jannaly Montilla (Portuguesa), Sharon Guzmn, Jhurney Riverol, Mara Arteaga and Marianna Durn (Yaracuy).

The head coach is Enrique Gil and his assistant is Cecilio Escobar.

The best three teams will qualify for the FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Women that will be played next year.
