Uruguay - Ecuador 35-70
Ecuador leave no chance for Uruguay in Day 2 of the U17 South American Championship. Ecuador needed a 70:35 win for 2-0 record in Group A. Uruguay meanwhile fell at 0-2 record and will take on Paraguay tomorrow. Ecuador started the game with a 14-5, while Uruguay replied with a 17-11 rally in the second frame. The third period was decisive in the game when Ecuador erupted with a 28-5 surge and dominated the rest of the game. The latter posted a final 17-8 run and enjoyed a 35-point win. Vera Bianca stepped up with 19 points for the winners and Elizabeth Chevez netted 12. Camacho Daniela delivered 11, whilst Zurita Viviana and Melanie Cevallos notched 6 each. Fernandez Florencia ended up with 11 points in the losing effort and Zugarramurdi Daniela brought 9. Rocio Scarabini finished the game with 4 points in a loss.

Brazil - Paraguay 112-43
Brazil posts the second straight win in Group A of the U17 South American Championship. The favorites overcame Paraguay 112:43 and improved to 2-3 record. Paraguay meanwhile fell at 0-2 record and will play tomorrow against Uruguay for the initial win. Brazil won the first period 26-15 and never looked behind. They added 20-10 in the second period and enjoyed a 46:25 lead at the halftime. Brazil managed to win the third period 37-15 and erupted with a 29-3 surge at the end of the game. Vitoria Domingos (178-PF-96) top-scored for the winners with 28 points and Silva Thayna netted 20. De PaulaGabriela collected 17 points and 13 rebound in a win and Bianca Araujo (189-C-96) brought 12 points and 10 rebounds. Quevedo Natalia replied with 15 points in a loss and Ana Velazquez scored 9. Akita Paola notched 7, whilst Marin Maria had 5.

Group B
Peru - Chile 33-95
Chile demolish Peruvian side at the second day of the U17 South American Championship. Chile improved to 1-1 record after a massive 95:33 win. Peru remained without victories at the tournament. Both teams entered the game winless and looked forward achieving the first success. Chile grabbed 21-6 lead in the start of the game and never looked behind after. They added 25-8 in the second period and then won the third frame 22-8. Chile continued their dominance in the last stanza as well and posted a final 27-11 rally. Catalina Abuyeres (182-F-97) stepped up with 26 points and Fuentes Jenifer nailed 16. Basaez Sendy produced 13, whilst Barbara Cousino (178-F-96) had 10. Navarrete Gianella ended up with 10 points in a loss and Somocurcio Pilar brought 8. Soto Carla notched 6, while Valeria Ojeda (96) put up 3.

Argentina - Venezuela 87-58
Grecia Gonzalez (174-C-96) leads Argentina past Venezuela at the second day of the U17 South American Championship. Argentina improved to 2-0 record in Group B after an 87:58 win. Venezuela meanwhile tied their record at 1-1. Argentina managed to win all the quarters of the game. They started with 20-18 rally and added 22-13 before the halftime. Moreover Argentina added two more victories in the second half for the final success. They won the third frame 23-9 and finished the game with a 22-18 burst. Grecia Gonzalez scored 22 points, while Victoria Llorente (184-F/C-96) collected 17 points and 14 rebounds. Agustina Garcia (173-F/G-96) brought 16, whilst Armesto Magali shot 10. Marcano Siuly ended up with 23 points in a loss and Rivera Genesis delivered 14.
