Brazil clinched a 17:12 lead after the opening quarter. They maintained the lead throughout the second term. Brazil established a 30:23 halftime lead. Brazil posted 22 points in the third term to take a 17-point lead into the final stanza. They kept the hosts at bay throughout the fourth frame and cruised to the victory. Obalunanma De Angelo had 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Izabela Nicoletti added 12 points in the win. Adeimar Alcantara responded with 14 points for Venezuela. Josberly Torres had 8 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Argentina finished in the third position after they held off Colombia 59:56 in the consolation final.
