Jairennys Arias (170-G-01) scored 21 points to lead the winners. Ecuador posted a 38:30 halftime lead. But Venezuela used a 25:15 run in the third term to surge ahead. They poured in 22 points in the fourth term and sealed the winning outcome. Yorgelis Alvarez (160-PG-00) delivered 16 points for the winners. Jillian Molina (172-G-01) and Vanessa Ochoa (167-PG-01) responded with 13 points each for Ecuador. Group BBolivia - Chile 62-75Chile outgunned Bolivia in the opener. Jovanka Ljubetic (170-PG-00) stepped up with 27 points to lead the effort. Chile accumulated a 38:22 halftime advantage. They extended the gap at 21-point mark at the final break and never looked back en route to the win. Retamales Macarena (182-F/C-01) accounted for 13 points in the victory. Noelia Tapia (157-SG-01) responded with 18 points for Bolivia. Argentina - Peru 79-43 Argentina beat Peru to improve at 1-0 record at the championship. Sofia Acevedo (167-PG-01) delivered 15 points to pace the winners. Argentina went on a strong 38:22 first half run. They poured in 41 points in the second half to ice the victory. Lucia Operto (191-C-01) chipped in 9 points for the winners. Milagros Carrera (173-G-00) responded with 22 points for Peru. |
