Venezuela - Brazil 36-76
Brazil stormed past Venezuela to finish atop of Group A. Brazil grabbed a 37:17 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 39:19 second half run to ice the win. Isabella Moreira (166-PG-02) produced 17 points, while Maisa Pereira (183-PF-02) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the victory. Julieth Sivira (162-G-03) responded with 13 points for Venezuela.
Colombia - Argentina 44-30
Colombia prevailed against Argentina to clinch the top position in Group A. The hosts used a 21:2 run in the second frame to open a massive 21-point halftime lead. Argentina cut the distance in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Daniela Gonzalez (179-C-02) came up with impressive 32 points and 11 rebounds for Colombia. Genesis Toledano (C-02) and Milagros Maza (171-SF-03) chipped in 11 points apiece for Argentina.
Chile - Uruguay 50-57
Uruguay opened win count in Barranquilla. They toppled Chile for 1-2 record in Group B. Camila Kirshenbaum (170-PG-02) came up with 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Uruguay grabbed a 22:18 halftime lead. They poured in 31 points in the third frame to clear off for good. Maite Pereira (170-SG-04) netted 17 points for the winners. Javiera Campos (02) and Laura Perez (G-02) chipped in 14 points each for Chile.
Ecuador - Paraguay 56-54
Ecuador nipped Paraguay to reach the semifinal stage at the championship. Ecuador posted a 24:13 lead after ten minutes. Paraguay managed to narrow the gap at 6-point mark at the big break. Ecuador however limited Paraguay to just 6 points in the third term to restore a double-digit lead. Paraguay sank 20 points in the fourth period but came up short of win at the end. Samy Bacilio (180-C-03) had 17 points, while Genesis Zabaleta (180-C/F-02) tossed in 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the winners. Maria Marin (02) replied with 15 points and 15 rebounds for Paraguay.
