Colombia eked out a 25:21 halftime lead. Brazil went on a strong 15:6 run in the third term to spur ahead. But Colombia struck right back with an 18:8 rally to snatch the historic victory. Daniela Gonzalez (179-C-02) had 12 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Adrielly Francisco (193-C-02) answered with 18 points and 19 rebounds for Brazil. 3-4 PlaceArgentina - Ecuador 40-33Argentina stepped onto the pedestal at the championship. They overcame Ecuador to earn Bronze medals and therefore qualifying for the 2020 U18 Fiba Americas Championship. Genesis Toledano (C-02) and Natalia Tondi (174-PG-03) produced 9 points each for the winners. Argentina grabbed an 18:12 halftime lead and rallied to the win in the second half. Genesis Zabaleta (180-C/F-02) responded with 11 points for Ecuador. 5-6 PlaceParaguay - Uruguay 49-73Uruguay finished the tournament on a high note. They dropped Paraguay to earn the fifth position. Uruguay used a strong 38:20 second half rally to secure the winning outcome. Camila Kirshenbaum (170-PG-02) came up with 27 points to lead the winners. Emilia Larre (184-F/C-02) added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Maria Marin (02) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds for Paraguay. 7-8 PlaceChile - Venezuela 70-36Chile thumped Venezuela to clinch the 7th position at the tournament. Chile piled up a 27:13 halftime lead. They poured in 43 points in the second half to race to the win. Antonia Andaur (02) delivered 30 points to lead the winners.
