Venezuela advanced into the championship game in Asuncion as they held off Brazil. Venezuela trailed by six points ten minutes into the game. But they triggered a 26-12 rally in the second period to ensure a 33-25 halftime advantage. Venezuela extended the lead in the second half and marched to the victory. Astrid Inojosa (174-G-2008) came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Micaela Cavalcanti (164-PG-2008) answered with 15 points for Brazil.

Argentina - Paraguay 71-47
Argentina rallied past Paraguay to clinch their Final berth. Argentina piled up a 44-27 halftime lead. They followed with a 21-7 surge in the fourth period to ice the victory. Sofia Lombardero (180-G-2008) notched 16 points, while Sofia Gonzalez (162-G-2008, college: Tufts) and Francisca Canello (182-F/C-2009) had 14 points each for Argentina. Sofia Gomez (180-C-2008) answered with 14 points for Paraguay.
