Venezuela are now step away from gaining South American Championship
title. They knocked down Brazil in the semifinal battle yesterday.

Axiers Sucre (198-F-78) stepped up with 21 points each to lead the
winners. Brazil entered the game undefeated but met a fierce resistance
from the starting moments. Venezuela ensured a 20:15 lead after ten
minutes. They stretched the gap in the second quarter. Venezuela enjoyed
a 39:33 halftime lead. Venezuela cleared off in the third quarter. They
accumulated a 15-point lead with one quarter remaining. Venezuela did
not slow down in the final frame and rallied to the victory at the end.
