Defeating Unit/Uberlandia 85-75 in final game, Boca Juniors  won the South American Club Championship for the second time in a row. The key of the game has been the defense on the main offensive weapon of Uberlandia, 'Marcelinho' Machado (200-F/G-75, agency: Interperformances), who has been limited, but who scored the same 29 points. The best in Boca have been Martin Leiva (208-F/C-80) and Paolo Quinteros (185-G-79). The third place went to Libertad, winner over Ben Hur 82-78, with Gustavo Martin (184-G-81) and Diego Cavaco (198-F-79) as the most outstanding players.

Unit/Uberlandia defeated Libertad Sunchales 69-62, while Boca Juniors  prevailed over home team Ben Hur  70-65 in the two semifinal games of South American Club Championship 2005 yesterday night in Rafaela. The two teams will meet tonight in Final Game that will be telecasted live by ESPN+ cable channel all over South America, while Libertad and Ben Hur  will play for the 3rd place. In the other two qualification series, Delfines de Miranda defeated Deportivo San Jose 91-79 ending the tournment at 5th place, while Salto Uruguay gained the 7th place beating ESPE Quito 78-60.

Boca Juniors advanceto to the semifinals defeating Delfines de Miranda (Venezuela) 100-71. The main performers in Boca have been Paolo Quinteros (185-G-79) with 20 pts and Sherell Ford (201-F-72, agency: Priority Sports, college: Illinois-Chicago) with 24. In the other game of Group B, Libertad de Sunchales defeated Salto 68-60, and tonight will meet Brazilian powerhouse Uberlandia in the first semifinal game. In fact, this last team felt to Ben Hur 79-72, ending at the secondplace of Group A. Ben Hur, yet unbeaten, will meet in the second semifinal game Boca Juniors in a classic Argentinean derby. In the last game of the round, Deportivo San Jose
 took the first win in the tournment prevailing over ESPE 97-85.

Brazilian team Unit/Uberlandia easily defeated ESPE Quito gaining the semifinals, the same made Ben Hur Rafaela defeating Paraguayan team Deportivo San Jose 86-55.  In Group 2, the 89-56 win of Libertad Sunchales over Delfines de Miranda allows Boca Juniors Capital Feder  to hope in semifinals too, after the easy 95-58 win over Salto Uruguay.

After replacing at the last time Columbian team Azucareros de Cal, Libertad de Sunchales produced the first upset of Day 1 of South American Club Championship 2005 held in Rafaela, Argentina, defeating titleholders of Boca Juniors 71-63. The main performers have been Ryan Carroll (195-G/F-79, college: TCU), who ended the game with 22 pts, and Roberto Lopez (199-F/C-76), who signed 14 pts and dominated inside. The results of the other games of the round have been as follows:
