The 44th edition of the South American Clubs Championship, played in Brasilia, Brazil, celebrated its second matchday and Universo BRB took the lead in the standings with a tight triumph over the also brazilian Pitagoras Minas. Boca Juniors woke up against the also argentinians Penarol de Mar del Plata and Duros de Lara, of Venezuela, took advantage of Deportivo San Jose of Paraguay to get their first victory in the tournament.
