Marinos de Anzoategui defeated Cocodrilos de Caracas in their home 68-73 thus eliminating them from the 2012 Profesional Basketball season of Venezuela. Jorge Arrieta Marinos Head coach 2012 LPB coach of the year dedicated this win to former NBA Oscar Torres (195-F/G-76) who couldn't play in today's game due to injury. Gregory Vargas (182-PG-86) made 16 points becoming the best man of Marinos de Anzotegui.
It is going to take a long time to rebuild Cocodrilos after this devastating 2012 season but the good thing is that the arrogant basketball team from Caracas has almost a year to start over in order to look for 2013 final series classification.
Now Marinos should go back to Anzoategui to wait for their 2012 LPB final series' rival that could be either Guaiqueries de Margarita or Trotamundos de Carabobo.
