Travis Derochowski got a deal with Athletics UCV in Venezuela

6'10'' power forward/center Travis Derochowski will arrive in Venezuela next week from McMinnville, Oregon to join Athletics UCV towards 2012 Venezuela National Basketball League.
Athletics UCV lead by its head coach Freddy Rengifo Rizzo, has been training since the last week of June this year in order to get ready for the upcoming 2012 Venezuela National Leagues Tip Off. "Our main focus in this years practices is to improve last years experience...Travis Derochowski will be a great help for us...I am sure he will bring a lot of respect in the post position...we are really excited with this agreement" - Head Coach Freddy Rengifo Rizzo
Derochowski earned First Team All-Cal Pac honors in 2010-2011. He also led the conference in rebounds and shots blocked. Later at Simpson University Travis Derochowski averaged a double-double in points and rebounds in two California Pacific Conference games and the big guy from McMinnville was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball player of the week for the date of January 23rd through January 29th, 2012.
His size and experience will be welcome to Athletics UCV in Venezuelas Basketball National League.
