A few hours after announcing the acquisition of Tomas Aguilera (198-F-77) via loan from Tiburones de Vargas for the 2006 South American Club Championship, Guerreros de Lara were informed Aguilera wouldnt make the trip to Barquisimeto and were forced to look for a replacement just hours before the tournament, but they did announce their second imported player, after signing Antwon Hall (193-G-74), also via loan, from their neighbors in the city, current West Conference leaders, Duros de Lara.

Hall is no stranger neither to the city nor to Guerreross general management, since hes played for Guaros de Lara in the LPB league, a team also owned by the same organization, Total Sports. His signing represented no problems, as he resides in the same city and is in perfect shape, currently starring in the LNB action among the best scorers, three-point shooters and, surprisingly, blockers.

Hall will join Scooter Sherrill (190-G-81) as imported players. Sherrill has only been in the country for a week and played a couple of LNB games against Felinos de Aragua at Maracay practically coming off the plane. He was the elected player to substitute star Cordell Henry (176-G-80), who left the country to play in Portugal. The other reinforcement player specially acquired by Guerreros for the tournament is hometown hero Diego Guevara (184-G-77), who originally belongs to Delfines de Miranda.
