Rakeem Christmas agreed terms with Cocodrilos

Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) inked 30-year old Virgin Islander international 206cm power forward Rakeem Christmas (college: Syracuse). Christmas played most recently at Boeheim's Army (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S.
In 2015 he was drafted by Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) in second round (36 th overall). He graduated from Syracuse University and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. Christmas has been regularly called to U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team since 2021.
He is a very experienced player. Christmas has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Australia (New Zealand Breakers), China (Christmasnan), Dominican Republic (Plaza), Philippines (Hotshots), Puerto Rico (Capitanes, Cangrejeros and Mets), Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen), Turkey (Galatasaray and OGM Orman), NBA (Indiana Pacers) and NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Taiwanese SBL in 2021. He was voted to D-League All-Star Game back in 2016.
