Itelyum Varese (Serie A) added 28-year old U.S. Virgin Islands forward Justin Gray (198cm-95kg-1995, college: Texas Tech) to their roster for the new 2024-25 season. He played last season at Brose Bamberg in the German BBL league, where he recorded 9.1ppg and 3.3rpg in 26 games. He helped them reach the German Bundesliga Cup Semifinals. In the previous (2022-23) season, he played at GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo (GBL) in the Greek league.
Gray was a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands international program for some years. He was called to U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team between 2016 and 2022 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2012.
Gray is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Greece, Kosovo (Rahoveci), Poland (Spojnia), Portugal (CAB Madeira), the United Kingdom (Flyers), and The Basketball Tournament (War Tampa and Air Raiders).
Gray's team finished as the runner-up in the Big 12 regular season in 2018.
Gray graduated from Texas Tech University in 2018, and it will be his seventh season as a pro player.
