LaRon Smith joins Palma Fibwi

LaRon Smith

Fibwi Palma (Segunda FEB) added 31-year-old U.S. Virgin Islands-American ex-international forward LaRon Smith (205cm-98kg-1993, college: Auburn, agency: HB-Spain) to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at War Ready (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In two TBT games just recently, he had 4.5ppg and 6.0rpg.
He also represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 9.3 ppg and had 5.8 rpg.
Smith is a highly experienced player. He has played in eight different countries across three continents during his career. He has played professionally in Argentina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Mexico, Sweden, Uruguay, Spain, and The Basketball Tournament. Smith's team was the regular season runner-up in the Spanish Segunda FEB Group East in 2025, and he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Spanish Segunda FEB Honorable Mention in the same year.
Smith is a former Eurobasket Summer League (ESL) player, which is considered the top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
He graduated from Auburn University in 2017 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player. Smith played for other colleges like Bethune-Cookman University and Georgia State University.
