Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona (Winner League) added 29-year-old U.S. Virgin Islands power forward Desi Rodriguez (197cm-100kg-1996, college: Seton Hall) to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player on the team, with USA Damion Lee signing earlier. Rodriguez played for Nanterre 92 in the French Betclic ELITE ProA for the last two seasons. In 29 games last season, he averaged 12.7ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.6apg, and 1.6spg. He was named to the French ProA All-Star Game, French League All-Star Game, and was named League Player of the Week. In 18 Basketball Champions League games, he averaged 15.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.1apg, and 1.7spg, helping his team reach the quarterfinals. He was also named League Player of the Week and to the Eurobasket.com Basketball Champions League Second Team.
Rodriguez is a very experienced player. He has also played professionally in Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg and s Oliver Baskets), Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv), and the NBA G League (San Diego Clippers).
His college team reached the French Leaders Cup final in 2024.
Rodriguez graduated from Seton Hall University in 2018 and it'll be his eighth season as a pro player.
