Liaoning Flying Leopards (CBA) signed Marcus Georges-Hunt, a 31-year-old forward from the USA-U.S. Virgin Islands who stands at 196cm tall and played college basketball at Georgia Tech. He was represented by JCK Sports Group. Georges-Hunt's most recent team was Al Riyadi in the Lebanese DLBL. In 5 Basketball Champions League Asia games last season, he had impressive averages of 19.6ppg, 3.6rpg, 5.0apg, and 1.2spg. He played a key role in helping his team reach the Basketball Champions League Asia final. Georges-Hunt was recognized for his performance by being named to the Asia-Basket.com All-Basketball Champions League Asia Second Team. Additionally, he played 9 games in the West Asia Super League, where he put up notable stats of 16.8ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.1spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Georges-Hunt was a member of the USA Under 19 National Team in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. Georges-Hunt has traveled the world during his pro career, playing in eight different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America, and North America). He has played professionally in Kuwait, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, NBA, China, United Arab Emirates, NBA G League, and NBA Summer League.
Among many awards, he was selected as the Asia-Basket.com All-Basketball Champions League Asia Forward of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016 and this will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
