MaJic Dorsey (ex Byblos) agreed terms with Belize for the 2023 United Cup

MaJic Dorsey

Belize (United Cup) strengthened their roster with addition of American 185cm point guard MaJic Dorsey (college: S.Indiana). Dorsey played most recently at Byblos Sporting Club in Lebanese LBL league. In two games he recorded 11.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg last season. The last season he played at Shabab (D2) in Kuwaiti league where in 24 games he averaged impressive 27.4ppg, 5.1rpg and 8.7apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait D2 Second Team.

In 2006 (a year after his graduation) Anaheim Arsenal selected him as 0th overall pick in NBA draft. The former University of Southern Indiana standout He graduated his college in 2005 andis in his 18th (!!!) season in pro basketball.

He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Dorsey's pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in thirteen different countries. He has played previously professionally in Colombia (Piratas), Cyprus (Apollon), Germany (SG Bergische Loewen), Iraq (Duhok), Mexico (Halcones UV Xalapa), Morocco (FUS Rabat and FAR Rabat), Qatar (Al Wakrah), Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom (OxFit Bulldogs GB Sheffield), Venezuela (Guaros), USA, Egypt (Al Gezira) and Turks and Caicos (HAB Sonics).

Among many awards his college team won Mediterranean Cup in 2019. Dorsey was also voted to Afrobasket.com All-Moroccan League Guard of the Year back in 2018.
