The Immortals started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-17. But Jose Cruz won second period 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jose Cruz had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Nargenis Ulloa (182-G-1997) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Andersson Garcia (201-F-2000, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side forward Angel Rivas (198-F-1993) responded with 20 points and 4 steals and Jefry Arias (182-PG-1997) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jose Cruz's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

Ulloa was named United Cup Most Valuable Player after averaging 23.0 points per game.
