Pena number one in United Cup for round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

Venezuelan-Dominican Rep. Shooting guard Kelvin Pena (193-SG-1980) had an amazing evening in the last round for Team Cabra, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 44-year old player got a double-double of 17 points and 10 assists, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Crocs (#6, 0-3) with 27-point margin 107-80. Team Cabra was forced-out from the top positions in United Cup. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Team Cabra will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Pena just recently signed at Team Cabra and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Former Southeastern Community College star has very solid stats this year. Pena is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.5ppg), rebounds (7th best: 6.0rpg) and assists (3rd best: 7.0apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young American Paul Harrison (206-PF-1989) of league's leader Immortals de Cibao. Harrison had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Immortals to another comfortable win 86-68 over Austin G. (2-1) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Harrison is a newcomer at Immortals, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 11.0rpg and 7.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Alexander Garcia of league's second-best Padre Gran. Garcia scored 27 points. Despite Garcia's great performance the Padre Gran lost 101-105 to CDF (#5, 1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Padre Gran needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Garcia has a great season in United Cup. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (3rd best).
