Trinity United, LLC launch new United Cup competition in the US: United Pro Invitational presented by Sports Illustrated

ATLANTA (Georgia) - Basketball in America achieved a new level of representation and quality in 2025 when Trinity United, LLC officially launched the United Pro Invitational presented by Sports Illustrated Tickets.

The competition was founded on November 24, 2024 deriving its name and branding from the United Cup of Champions in Dominican Republic, which started with the 2014-15 season. The United Cup took over from Mitchell de las Americas as the highest tier Cup in the country. But United pro Invitational is not its successor but rather a new product in Trinity United's development project. The United Cup will remain in the Dominican Republic and the United pro Invitational will play in the USA.

Four clubs will participate in the first season, having qualified through their domestic leagues. The tournament will be a two-part series which will feature a FIBA combine & Invitational Tournament.

"With the success of the United Cup, I decided to create something for the national players of the US", said UPI Founder Jermaine Barnes . This event will be the first of its kind. We are given players an opportunity to be seen by FIBA coaches in a combine format followed by high level competition (tournament).

Pro United Invitational: May 31- June 1
- Location: Clayton State University
- Time: 3:00pm
- Cost: $15 (day pass) / $20 (weekend pass)
