Dominican Rep. Immortals smashed hosting Atlanta BI at home 96-62. GIE Immortals forced 10 Ice turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 15 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Ice' players. Dominican Angel Rivas (198-F-1993) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks and 4 steals for the winners. Star import Glen Rice Jr. (198-F-1991, college: Georgia Tech) was the game's top scorer with 20 points. Immortals coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Malik Avery responded with 14 points and Isaiah Wray produced 10 points and 5 rebounds. Five Immortal players scored in double figures. Immortals move to 1-0 in the standings for day one.

Royals recorded a loss in Atlanta. They were defeated by hosting club Georgia Spartans 89-81. Tay Hall (197-F-2003, college: Gulf Coast CC) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and guard Wisdom Uboh (178-PG, college: Columbus St.) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Royals forward guard Roman Son (180-PG, college: Columbus St.) came up with an impressive scoring performance with 20 points and 3 rebounds respectively for the Royals in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spartans are now 1-0 in the United Pro Invitational.
