GIE Cibao Immortals and Royals clinch United Pro Invitational title- June 3, 2025 Here is the last round review presented by Job Market. The most interesting game of round 4 was only three-point a home defeat of 3rd ranked American Georgia Spartans (2-2) to top ranked Dominican Rep. Immortals (3-1) 67-51. It ended the two-game winning streak of the Spartans. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American Glen Rice Jr. (198-F-1991, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Jarrett Adderton (190-G, college: Columbus St.) added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Wisdom Udoh (180-PG) responded with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Spartans' coach rotated all players in this game, but that didn't help. Immortals keep a position of league leader, which they share with Polk Co. Royals. Spartans finish the tournament with a.500 record of 2-2.
One of the most interesting games of round 4 was a derby match between the Royals and Atlanta Ice. First ranked Royals out leveled host Atlanta (0-4) 73-66. The winners were led by American guard Roman Son (180-PG, college: Columbus St.) who scored that evening 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 7 steals. Isaiah Moody (183-PG, college: Southeastern) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 18 points by forward Isaiah Wray did not help to save the game for Atlanta. Black Ice coach played all ten players in this matchup. Royals maintains first position with 3-1 record, which they share with GIE Immortals (3-1). Atlanta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with the final day of the event. |
