Peralta's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

30-year old Dominican Rep. forward Moises Peralta (193-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Georgia Panthers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Correcaminos (#2, 2-2) with 19-point margin 80-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Panthers to consolidate first place in the United Cup. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Georgia P. has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Peralta just recently signed at Panthers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Peralta has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 14.0ppg) and rebounds (2nd best: 8.0rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Yunior Martinez (180-PG-2002) of league's second-best Correcaminos de la Parte Baja. He is a guard in his first season at Correcaminos. In the last game Martinez recorded an impressive 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Correcaminos lost that game 61-80 to Georgia P. (3-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Martinez is one of the most experienced players at Correcaminos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.3rpg and 4.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Isaac Joseph of league's second-best Sharks de Sosua. Joseph scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Sharks, leading his team to a 61-59 win against #3 ranked Crocs in a game of the week. Sharks needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Joseph has a great season in United Cup. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.5ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 7.0rpg (4th best).
