Rodriguez number one in United Cup for round 4

Guard Jose Rodriguez (180-G-2002) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Mellizos de Sur, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 23-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, two rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Georgia P. (3-1) 70-56. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Mellizos de Sur to take over top position in the United Cup. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Mellizos de Sur has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Rodriguez had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Mellizos de Sur, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jose Rodriguez has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.5ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was Jhony Uceta of Clermont Crocs. Uceta had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Crocs to another comfortable win 73-56 over slightly higher-ranked Correcaminos (#2, 2-2) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Crocs consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Crocs managed to get this year. Uceta is one of the most experienced players at Crocs and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Brandon Hill (185-G-1987) of US Titans Yerevan (#3). Hill showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Hill's great performance the US Titans lost 80-82 to #2 ranked Sharks. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. US Titans can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Hill has individually a great season in United Cup. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.0rpg (6th best) and assists with 6.7apg (best passer).
