El Calor lands Victor Rudd, ex Defensor

Victor Rudd

El Calor de Cancun (LNBP) signed experienced 35-year-old American 206cm power forward Victor Rudd (college: S.Florida). He was the second-best scorer at Defensor in the Uruguayan LUB league last season, averaging 14.4ppg, 4.9rpg, and 2.1apg in 20 games. He played a key role in helping them reach the semifinals. Rudd's performance earned him a spot on the Latinbasket.com All-Uruguayan League Honorable Mention team.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Rudd is a very experienced player, having played in eleven different countries on four continents during his time in pro basketball. He has played in Germany (s Oliver Baskets), Israel, Italy (Torino), Poland (Stal), Puerto Rico (Cariduros, Santeros, Capitanes, and Gigantes), Qatar (Al Arabi), Russia (PBC CSKA Moscow), Turkey (Gaziantep), Uruguay (Aguada, Bigua, and Penarol), Venezuela (Spartans and Brillantes), and The Basketball Tournament (HBC Sicklerville).
His team won the Qatari Cup in 2025.
He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2014 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball. Rudd played also for Arizona State University for one year.
