Brian Moultrie gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan Metropolitan (by Hoops Agents)- July 10, 2022
The 35-year old power forward had a double-double of 21 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team crushed U.Atletica (#3, 3-1) with 16-point margin 90-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Lagomar to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan Metropolitan. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Lagomar already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Moultrie has many years of experience at Lagomar, through which he has constantly improved. Armstrong State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moultrie is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 10.8rpg) and averages solid 53.5% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian shooting guard Federico Harina (186-SG-1991) of San Telmo RS. Harina impressed basketball fans with 36 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course San Telmo RS cruised to a 97-87 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Stockolmo (1-3). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But San Telmo RS managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory San Telmo RS managed to get this year. Harina is one of the most experienced players at San Telmo RS and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#2). He also recorded 4.0 assists per game. The third best performed player last round was Sebastian Ottonello (200-PF-1997) of U.Atletica (#3). Ottonello got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Ottonello's great performance U.Atletica lost 74-90 to #1 ranked Lagomar. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing U.Atletica needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 1 lost games. The season just started for Ottonello as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Other top performing players last week: 4. Rodrigo Brause (194-F) of 25 de Agosto - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists 5. Casey Jones (195-PG-1993) of Colon - 22 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists 6. Lenny Daniel (203-C-1987) of Stockolmo - 15 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists 7. Leandro Taboada (182-PG-1986) of Capitol - 28 points and 5 rebounds 10. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
