Worth to mention a great performance of forward Christian Pereira (194-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Brian Garcia who added 25 points during the contest. Forward Rodrigo Trelles (191-1988) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Metropolitan top team - Cordon (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Stockolmo (2-6) in Montevideo 89-70. The winners were led by Ignacio Xavier who scored that evening 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by Facundo Terra did not help to save the game for Stockolmo. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cordon have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. There were no big surprises in other games of round 8: San Telmo RS was beaten by Colon on the road 98-82. Miramar lost to Larranaga on its own court 71-82. U.Atletica managed to outperform Sayago in Montevideo 76-66. Tabare rolled over O.Mundial at home 86-67.
