Capitol - Stockolmo 81-69 There was no surprise in Montevideo where 13th ranked Stockolmo (2-11) was defeated by third ranked Capitol (10-3) 81-69 on Thursday. American Akia Pruitt (203-1997, college: UNCP) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Claudio Bascou (185-1989) chipped in 17 points. Four Capitol players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Yari Acevedo (190-1997) responded with 21 points and guard Facundo Terra (185-1998) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Stockolmo's coach Guido Fernandez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Capitol have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-3 record behind leader Cordon, which they share with Colon. Stockolmo lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. This time they crushed 12th ranked San Telmo RS (3-10) 96-68 in Montevideo. Cordon dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to San Telmo RS's 34. Cordon forced 25 San Telmo RS turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field).
