Josefina Zeballos
19-year old point guard Josefina Zeballos (173-PG-2003) had a great game in the last round for Aguada and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds for Aguada in her team's victory, helping them to beat 25 de Agosto (#5, 7-4) 84-77. Aguada maintains the 3rd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Aguada would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Zeballos had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Aguada, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Josefina Zeballos averages this season 13.0ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Martina Marino (170-F-2005) of Hebraica. She is a forward in her first season at Hebraica. In the last game Marino recorded impressive 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Hebraica to another comfortable win outscoring Juventud (#10, 0-10) 69-40. Hebraica's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 8-3 record is not bad at all. Marino is one of the most experienced players at Hebraica and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.4ppg (#6). She also registered 7.8 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) of Yale (#6). Bazan showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the last round. Despite Bazan's great performance Yale lost 60-66 to the higher-ranked Malvin (#1, 10-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Yale ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Bazan could help Yale to bring them higher in the standings. Bazan has a great season in Uruguay. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 8.8rpg (6th best) and assists with 5.0apg (4th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
